Welcome to the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania! Would you like to learn how to paint, draw, or sculpt? How about
getting your artwork exhibited in shows or noticed on the Web?
Might you enjoy volunteering in an active local arts organization?
Classes - The Art Alliance offers adult and children's art classes, taught by
local professional artists
from State College and elsewhere in Central PA.
. The low student-to-teacher ratio and relaxed setting ensure quality teaching
and individual attention. An informal open session provides artists of all learning
levels an opportunity to work independently within a group situation.
Membership - Among the many perks of Art Alliance membership are
reduced rates for classes, discounts with local merchants
in State College,
an organizational newsletter, interesting volunteer opportunities, and a vast
resource of networking. Members also receive discounts on Art Alliance
sponsored
events and Art Center building rental.
Exhibits and Shows - Members are eligible to enter and sell their work
at the annual Members' Show, Holiday Sale, and other
events planned by
the organization. An annual Student Show gives students in our classes
a similar opportunity.
Web Site Opportunities - Member artists have the opportunity to display
their work on the Art Alliance Web site.
The links we can provide have proved
to give
excellent visibility for our artists on the Internet. Through this
medium you
may obtain personal Web space to display and promote your work to
the world.
The Art Alliance is supported Pennsylvania Partners in the
Arts (PPA),
the regional arts partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency
funded through annual appropriations by Pennsylvania's General
Assembly
and the National Endowment for the Arts. PPA is administered in this region by
the
Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance
