MONDAYS
Monday Afternooners
No Instructor
If you have trouble finding time for your art at home, drop by the open studio:
a great opportunity to finish work, to have work critiqued, or simply to socialize
with other artists. By giving yourself a regular time to focus on your art, you will
see your productivity rise. Call Carol Goldberg (814-466-8714) with questions.

Beginning Watercolor

Learn the basic approaches to watercolor, including
wet-on-wet and drybrush techniques. Focus is on still
life composition and landscape ideas. For both
beginning and intermediate students. Call or e-mail

Pen & Ink and Watercolor

Sculpture

All experience levels welcome for an opportunity to examine and
interpret 3-D form. Choose from a variety of materials and
techniques. Individual instruction encourages progress at your
own pace. Call Jim with questions.
Wednesdays: 9 am - noon, 8 weeks

The Model in the Studio: Long Sessions
No instructor
An opportunity to work in the medium of your choice with a live model posing for
an extended time. To ensure an uncongested space, the class will be limited to
ten students. This studio experience is meant for artists already confident in their
drawing ability since there will be no instruction. Please direct questions to the
coordinator, Sandy McBride, at amcbride@mcbstudio.com.
Wednesdays: 1 - 3 pm, 8 weeks
$60 members; $80 nonmembers (price includes model fees)
Open Model Session
No Instructor
An opportunity to drop in and work from a model in the medium of your choice.
Wednesdays: 7 - 9:30 pm, ongoing
Each session: $7 members; $10 nonmembers

The Basics of Clay

An introduction to the different kinds of clay (with an emphasis on
low-fire),
glazes, and firing techniques. Create utilitarian vessels such
as bowl, plates,
and covered jars while you explore basic
handbuilding techniques such as pinch
pots, coiling, wet slab
building, leather-hard slab building, and possibly press
molds.

Additional material fee of $15 payable to Kara on the first day of class.
